| Membership Requirements | |
| An undergraduate member is regularly enrolled at the University of Maryland as a fulltime student as defined by the school. New and lifetime active collegiate members are required annually to complete a Financial Negligence Statement, Form 150, and to pay all financial obligations to the chapter by the stated deadlines. To be eligible for membership, candidates meet the following criteria: National Membership Standards: Academic Interesta??intellectual advancement and sound scholarship. Character-moral integrity, dignity, and loyalty. Financial Responsibilitya??prompt payment of dues and fees and other financial obligations. Leadership Ability-participation in campus and community activities. Personal Developmenta??social awareness, poise, personal presentation and cultural appreciation. Full-Time Student- To be eligible for membership, an undergraduate woman must be a fulltime student as defined by the University of Maryland. Academic Standing- First Semester Freshmen: Consistent with University of Maryland policy, first semester freshmen are not eligible for membership in any sorority, unless they enter with 12.0 credits. All Other Undergraduate Women: Undergraduate women with prior university grades, including transfers, are required to have a minimum requirement of a 2.8 grade point average (exceptions can be made.) | |
