Mission Statement:
The objectives of this club shall be to: provide a forum for students interested in chess to meet each other and engage in friendly competition and to locate talented players on campus for the purpose of forming a team which will compete against other schools in tournaments and matches.

Membership in the club shall be available to all students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of Maryland.
